Are you a 6-10 year old with a love for legos? Does solving problems sound fun? Do you think STEM sounds exciting? Then maybe you would enjoy FLL Jr!

FLL Jr. Is a program created and maintained by FIRST. Their goal is to get young kids interested in S.T.E.M early on. In FLL Jr, kids will find and solve a problem based on the year’s theme. This year’s theme in Aqua Adventure. They will then create their solution using legos and parts from a WeDo kit.

Sound interesting? I hope so! Because the High Voltage Couch Bananas from Eagle, Idaho will be creating 10 new FLL Jr. Teams! Each will have up to 6 kids, from ages 6-10. We will hold practice at the Boise Library on S. Capitol Blvd, in one of the auditoriums. It will be held roughly every other Saturday, starting in November, and parents- the best part is, it’s will be completely free thanks to scholarships provided by generous corporate partners!

So, if you (or anyone you know) would be interested in participating, sign up for our info list below! It’s going to be a ton of fun! We hope to see a bunch of awesome kids soon!

Join an FLL Jr. Team!

  • Group practice sessions will be held roughly every other weekend at Boise Library! in downtown Boise (by BSU). An adult mentor will need to attend with each student, be responsible for that student, and provide transportation. Think of it like a "mommy and me" swim class... This mentor will also be responsible to coordinate with other team mentors on their child's team to facilitate 1-2 team work days between group sessions for their team.
